My Kindle helps my trading.

Since I purchased a Kindle last year, my kindle library is slowly growing. I currently have 39 books on trading, in my Kindle. I have many more print books, but I am discussing the books I purchased over the last 18 months.
There are two reasons for buying books:
1. I love to read.
2. Reading is probably the only way to keep updated on trading ideas. Not just updated, but also to refresh my trading concepts.

When I buy a book, I am not looking for ‘The Key’. Which means, I am not searching for that elusive formula which will give perfect trades. I know there is no key, there is no formula. I look at the contents, the author, reader comments on Amazon and then decide if I want to read it. It is not just money that is spent on the book, it is also my time. So, I try to buy carefully.

I am fond of books on discipline, trading psychology and systematic trading. Well, I think that covers almost everything!

I liked the book ‘Traders at Work’ by Tim Bourquin and Nicholas Mango. The book interviews a number of traders, most of them using technicals for their trading.

Another book that I have read more than once is Aiki Trading by Jeffery Tie. This is a rare book, since it discusses trading setups with specific rules, and, accomplishes its task successfully. In a subsequent blog post, I will review this book.

This weekend, pick up a trading book and read it.
